Ingredients
2 cups self-raising flour
Pinch of salt
1/8 cup of butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup chopped fresh Freeman Herbs Organic Chives
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Add flour and salt to a large mixing bowl and aerate with a whisk or sift flour and salt.
Add the butter to the flour and use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs and mix in your chives and cheddar cheese.
Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients, add in the milk and water and use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to stir until a dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly until smooth (about 30 seconds), divide the dough into 6 pieces.
Round out the dough balls and place on a lightly oiled baking tray. Cut a small cross on top of each and sprinkle with flour.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown,
Serve warm with butter and enjoy!
