DIY: Holiday Potpourri in a Jar

Holiday Potpourri in a Jar

Bringing holiday scents to all your friends and family!

With the fantastic combination of oranges, rosemary cranberries, and more!

  • 14 oz jar with lid

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

  • 6-8 dried orange rounds

  • 4-6 cinnamon sticks

  • 3 fresh Freeman Herbs Organic rosemary sprigs

  • 1/4 cup clove buds

To dehydrate your oranges, preheat your oven to 200 °F.

While the oven preheats, start slicing your oranges in thin slices and place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Bake the oranges for about 2 1/5 hours or at least until the orange peels are dry and the flesh is translucent. You will want to rotate the orange slices so that they dry evenly.

Once finished, remove the orange slices and let them cool completely before putting them aside. Gather your materials and start layering them in the jar.

Once finished, place the lid on the jar and you're set for gifting!

Feel free to add some flair with a label or instructions on how to use.

Instructions for use:

  • Add mix into a stockpot

  • cover with water

  • simmer on and off for roughly 3-4 days

Once finished, compost the herbs and spices, and feel free to use the water for your plants!
