DIY: Basil Oil

DIY Basil Oil


  • 2 cups of fresh Freeman Herbs Organic Basil leaves

  • 1/2 clove of garlic

  • 1 3/4 cup of olive oil, divided

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


In a food processor or blender, add in your basil, garlic, salt, and only a 1/2 cup of olive oil and blend/process well.

Scrape down the sides if needed using a spatula.

Add in the remaining 1 1/4 cups of olive oil and pulse to combine. Scrape down the sides again, if needed.

Store the basil oil in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to a week.

Enjoy simply with bread, or over pasta, fish, grilled vegetables or even salad!
