Basil and lemon Ice/Gelato


  • Juice of 5 lemons

  • 3/4 cup of sugar

  • 3/4 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup fresh Freeman Herbs Organic Basil

  • Zest of 2 lemons


Add the juice, sugar, and water to a pot and bring to a boil.

Add the basil leaves and the lemon zest and steep off the heat for 45 minutes then strain the mixture.

Add two cups of cold water, then pour into a baking dish and freeze for 1 hour.

For a little extra fun, feel free to core out the inside of the lemons and scoop some of the flavored ice into the lemon half.
